R102 – Chaos Returns
Our Lord Rob hath returned! Also:
- Webby was moved from Johnny’s Dreamhost to Sven’s VPS;
- The first woman (Sigrid) was anointed in the Church of Rob!
- Methodman has moved on to be part of the MH team.
Webby was moved
As this webby was designed for PHP7.1/7.4 (which is end-of-life) and Johnny’s Dreamhost was charging money for support, we made the decision to move webby to a new environment. This took a little while to complete. Work spread out over a ~2 weeks after havoc R101. Based off our master branch of L6 on git.patools.nl, we started with a fresh db. Current dev team members are Johnny, Chris and Sven. VPS runs like a dream, 6 Cores, 16GB RAM and 500GB HDD. Plenty space. Certificates set up, Apache2 and Postfix (Dovecot, Rspamd) configured, and mysql running. We’re getting the hang of VenoX’s code! So much so that we started a new project based on PHP8.x and Laravel 10 (Jetstream). Here’s a teaser:

We welcomed Sigrid into the fold as Overseer of the Divine Chastity Oath of the Church of Rob. Quite a title. We checked on her after the ceremony. She’s doing okay!
Methodman has moved on…
Multi-Hunters cracking down on the player base. Methodman’s been added to their crew and is policing the streets…
Other news
We’re still wondering about the wellbeing of our good mates Goose and Geriatric, who we have lost to Real Life™. We hope they are well and pray to Rob for their swift return!
